Former Besiktas midfielder, Sinan Engin, has criticized Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen for his underwhelming performance in important matches.
This criticism comes after Galatasaray’s 2-1 loss to Besiktas in a Turkish Super Lig clash on Saturday. Osimhen played the full 90 minutes but was unable to lead his team to victory.
Engin expressed doubt about Osimhen’s ability to perform in high-profile games, questioning his impact. Speaking on the Assist Analysis YouTube channel, Engin remarked: “Osimhen can never come on stage in big matches.”
“If Osimhen is worth 75 million Euros, I am worth 100 million Euros to Rafa Silva.
“When Osimhen stops, Galatasaray stops too. Osimhen needs to regain his form, especially in high-level matches. Very critical matches will be played from now on.”
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, with the deal set to expire at the end of the season. So far this season, the Nigerian international has scored 20 goals and provided 4 assists in 23 league appearances for the Turkish club.
