Kunle Adegoke, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has declared his intention to run for governor of Osun State on August 8, 2026, under the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag.

At the APC’s state secretariat in Osogbo on Monday, Adegoke, who previously ran for the party’s ticket in the 2018 primary, made his announcement.

When he unveiled his program, the legal scholar promised that, if elected, he would give teachers’ and healthcare workers’ welfare top priority.

“If I am given the party’s ticket and eventually elected governor, I will fight corruption vigorously and ensure that public resources are channelled towards serving the people, not a select privileged few,” Adegoke stated.

Plans for extensive infrastructure development, improved security, and the advancement of open, efficient governance were also delineated by him.

“The people of Osun deserve a government that is not only responsive but proactive; not just well-intentioned, but effective and visionary. A government capable of driving prosperity, creating wealth, and reducing dependence on federal allocations,” he stated.
