A commercial motorcycle operator has been taken into custody by the Osun Amotekun Corps on suspicion of raping a 35-year-old lady while she was brandishing a gun.
Yusuf Abass, the spokesperson for the Osun Amotekun Corps, made this announcement in Osogbo on Friday.
He said that the victim was raped by the 29-year-old suspect at his home in Ede’s Alusekere Area.
According to him, the victim told the Amotekun Corps about the occurrence, claiming that the suspect had enticed her to his house by pretending to be able to help her find her lost ward.
“Upon her arrival, the suspect reportedly brandished a locally made pistol and a knife, using both weapons to intimidate and forcibly rape her,” he said.
Abass added that a bricklayer was also detained by the Corps for stealing and damaging electrical cables in an unfinished construction at a new location in Osogbo.
He said that the site’s bricklayer exploited his position to enter the premises after work.
