Abia State Governor Alex Otti has expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for authorizing the $125 million financing arrangement for the Abia State Integrated Infrastructure Development Project from the Islamic Development Bank, IsDB.
The approval was granted at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, August 13, according to a statement released by the state government on Thursday.
Otti expressed gratitude to the National Assembly, the Coordinating Minister of Economy and the Minister of Finance, the Vice President of the IsDB, and others in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ukoha Njoku Ukoha.
It clarified that the authorized financial facility would be used to finance the building of roughly 126 kilometers of road network in Aba and 35.57 kilometers in Umuahia.
The state government also provided a list of essential erosion control measures that needed to be carried out at the project sites.
