There are signs that the necessary paperwork is being completed so that the Nigerian government can receive the remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Buhari, who was suffering from an unidentified illness, passed away at a London clinic.
To return Buhari’s remains to Nigeria, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and other senior government officials are in London.
Shettima and other high-ranking Nigerian government officials are assisting in completing the paperwork needed for Buhari’s remains to be released, according to Channels Television.
In the meantime, Katsina State Governor Umar Radda revealed that Buhari’s body would reach Nigeria by 12:00 pm on Tuesday.
Additionally, Radda revealed that Buhari’s body would be buried in his hometown of Daura tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2:00 pm.
