The grant will support the enrollment of an additional 30,000 primary care providers into the Parenting Center’s Keystones of Development Provider Portal. This digital platform offers a suite of interactive learning modules and curricula, focusing on essential topics such as early numeracy and literacy, discipline, and self-regulation.
The investment will also facilitate the system’s national recruitment of health partners, including hospital networks, community clinics, and individual providers. These partners will be encouraged to implement the Bezos Family Foundation’s early learning program, Vroom, which is designed to support brain development from birth to age 5
Carrie Quinn, executive director of the Mount Sinai Parenting Center and associate professor of pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, expressed her gratitude for the grant. “The Bezos Family Foundation has been a passionate champion for getting the science of early childhood development into the hands of pediatric health providers. We are so grateful for their partnership in creating and distributing this work and know that it will lead to tremendous change in the field.”
Quinn emphasized the significance of the grant in supporting the Parenting Center’s mission. “This support allows us to reach providers across the country, including those with the least resources, to support parents.
