Veteran Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey has shared how Fuji star Alabi Pasuma supported his family for three years during a difficult time in his life.
The revelation came during a recent live performance at a celebrity event, where Pasuma joined him on stage. In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Daddy Showkey recounted how Pasuma stood by him after he was involved in a serious accident back in 2007.
According to him, the accident left him hospitalized for three years, and during that period, Pasuma was the only person who took on the responsibility of caring for his family.
He described Pasuma as his one true friend in the entertainment industry, noting that while many of his colleagues turned their backs on him even refusing to help when he visited their homes Pasuma remained supportive throughout.
“You see, this man, he stood by me during bad times and good times. Many people didn’t see me in public or sing for years because I had an accident in 2007. I was in the hospital for three years. Pasuma was the one taking care of my family. I can never forget him in my life.
“After I recovered, I visited others but they didn’t give me the opportunity to see them not to talk of helping. When I got to their houses they would tell me that they were not around even when they were inside the house,” Daddy Showkey said.
