A number of Nigerians are calling for justice in the ongoing case involving allegations of repeated abuse against Hadiza Musa Baffa and former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki.
This demand was made public in a statement released on Friday by Mrs. Amina Olutayo, who serves as the Coordinator of the Charity Initiative, ROACI, Nigeria.
Olutayo described Hadiza’s experience as a deeply troubling narrative of alleged sexual exploitation and emotional abuse.
“This is not just a personal matter; it is a national emergency,” she stated.
“It is about protecting the dignity of Nigerian women and standing up against institutional abuse. No woman should ever be forced to choose between silence and survival.”
In response, Turaki has denied all allegations made by Hadiza.
Back in February 2025, the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a ruling preventing the Nigerian Police Force from presenting DNA test results as evidence against Turaki.
In a ruling by Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja, he said, “Upon studying the motion ex-parte and the averments in the affidavit in support, including the affidavit of urgency, I am of the opinion that the prayers cannot be granted without hearing from the respondents.”
The dispute over paternity involving Hadiza and Turaki has remained a widely discussed topic within Nigeria’s public space.
