The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State has successfully selected new leadership teams across the 21 local government areas to strengthen its grassroots structure.
The new executives emerged through a consensus process, a strategy adopted by party stakeholders to foster unity and minimize internal conflicts.
While overseeing the congress on Monday in Yola South, Yola North, and Gerei LGAs, the Chairman of the PDP Local Governments Congress Committee in the state, retired Hon. David Iorhembe, expressed satisfaction with the orderly conduct of the exercise.
“I am satisfied with the large turnout and the maturity our members have shown today. The consensus option has really helped to unite the party and avoid unnecessary tension,” Iorhembe said.
He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his developmental strides and visionary leadership, noting that these achievements have enhanced the party’s popularity across the state.
Iorhembe also urged members to continue rallying behind the governor and to remain united in their efforts to ensure the PDP secures victory in the 2027 general elections.
“PDP remains the party to beat come 2027, and with the unity we have shown here today, I am confident we will deliver,” he added.
