Peter Obi, Atiku, not Nigerians – Sowore explains claim

Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress’s (AAC) 2023 presidential candidate, has asserted that Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, the candidates of the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party, are not Nigerians.

He asserted that Obi is Biafran while Atiku is Cameroonian.

In a recent episode of “Curiosity Made Me Ask,” he made the assertion after host Bae U Barbie offered that he establish a reality program with the two of them.

Bae U: “You were almost the president of Nigeria. No, that is Peter Obi. You were 2 per cent almost the President of Nigeria. How does that feel? Do you think you still have the chance?”

Sowore: “Everybody that contested the 2023 presidential election almost became the president except the guy who was declared selected; [Bola] Tinubu. Because all of us that didn’t win have gone back to do the same thing; philanthropy.”

Bae U: “Don’t you think, you, Atiku, Peter Obi should start a reality show and name it ‘The Almost President’ or ‘The Kamala Harris’ Boys’?”

Sowore: “I don’t think that a reality show would work for us. Because how are you going to get people to understand what Atiku is saying considering that he doesn’t speak English.

“He is a Cameroonian. You should ask APC people. They told him he was not supposed to be presidential candidate because they found out that he was a Cameroonian.

“And the other guy you mentioned, Obi, he is a Biafran. So how can we fit into the same reality show? And Kamala Harris does not know the difference between Nigeria and Africa, so how can we be her boys?”
