The Ogun State Police Command has brought the controversial Nigerian artist, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, before the court.
Portable was arraigned on Thursday morning at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
This comes shortly after the singer turned himself in to the authorities.
The police had issued a warrant for Portable’s arrest on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, for allegedly assaulting three officials from the Ogun Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).
Just hours after the warrant was issued, Portable voluntarily presented himself at the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday and was transferred to the Ogun police.
Having been on the run, Portable was brought before the court on Thursday to face charges.
It was reported that the singer had attacked OGPDPA officials who were attempting to seal his bar due to a lack of necessary permits and inadequate air space.
The incident also led to the arrest and arraignment of nine of Portable’s associates, who face a five-count charge including armed violence, felony, obstruction, assault, and intent to kill.
