Police arrest Portable over G-Wagon debt

Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, is a well-known singer who the Lagos State Police Command detained.

ZINGTIE has learned that the controversial musician was taken into custody on Tuesday due to his purported failure to settle the debt he accumulated when he bought a G-Wagon from a state auto dealer.

After buying the car valued at N27 million, Portable reportedly only spent N13 million. It was reported that he declined to pay the remaining N14 million.

The musician was reportedly taken into custody after the auto dealer reported the incident to the authorities.

ZINGTIE verified the arrest with Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police.

He said: “The report is true. He was arrested today.”
