This development was made known through a statement issued on Saturday in Minna by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun.
According to a report from the News Agency of Nigeria, suspected kidnappers had invaded Hayin-Dogo and Dangunu communities in Sarkin-Pawa on the night of February 20 at around 10 p.m., abducting five people, including one Usman Daina. Daina was later freed two days after the incident.
“Since then, joint security team had been mounting pressure through different clearance and rescue operations to rescue the victims.
“Fortunately, on May 22, at about 12 noon, the victims; Deborah Daina, Gambo Amos, Cyprus Titus, and Satti Iko escaped from their abductors due to the sustained pressure from the security team,” he said.
Following their escape, the rescued individuals were taken to a medical facility for evaluation and treatment before being reunited with their families.
