This season’s top ten fastest players have been released by the Premier League.

Surprisingly, defender Micky Van de Ven of Tottenham Hotspur comes in first.

Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford saw Van de Ven record the fastest speed of the season thus far.

The 23-year-old ran at 37.12 km/h to follow Alejandro Garnacho and tackle him during first-half stoppage time.

That places him far ahead of Manchester City attacker Erling Haaland (35.74 km/h) and Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga (35.90 km/h).
