Tottenham Hotspur secured a 1-0 win over Arsenal in a pre-season friendly held in Hong Kong on Thursday.
The decisive moment came in the first half when Pape Matar Sarr found the net.
The goal followed a misplaced pass from Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, whose attempt to play the ball into midfield resulted in Myles Lewis-Skelly losing possession.
Sarr quickly took advantage, lifting the ball over Raya, who had strayed off his line.
Unlike their previous matches in Asia where they recorded victories over AC Milan and Newcastle United the Gunners struggled to find rhythm or creativity.
This marked Arsenal’s first defeat in their pre-season campaign.
They will continue their build-up to the new season with the Emirates Cup, where they are scheduled to face Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal.
