Process to rig 2027 elections has started – Atiku’s aide, Ibe alleges

Former vice president Atiku Abubakar’s media aide Paul Ibe has sounded the alarm, claiming that the current All Progressives Congress, APC, has started the process of rigging the general elections in 2027.

Speaking in a YouTube interview, Ibe claimed that the ruling party had chosen rigging as the only viable choice because it knew it had nothing to offer after more than two years.

He claimed that the APC, led by President Bola Tinubu, is making every effort to “ensure that there is no opposition, whether it’s in the independent media, civil society or political parties, that is what they are doing”.

He added that the conflict with opposition leaders is “because they (APC) have nothing to offer after two years retaining mandate”.

“The only way for them to win an election is to begin the process of rigging it and that process has already started”.

Ibe also lamented the fact that the present government has substituted democracy, which he said “was purchased at a very high price,” with a dictatorship.

“The democracy that we have been practicing since 1999, was purchased at a very high price. A lot of activists were killed in that process.

“I believe that those who sacrificed their lives for what we are enjoying today, they will be sad in their graveyards seeing what is playing out now.

“What is playing out is dictatorship and that is why people like Sowore are being harassed and intimidated”, he added.
