Joe Igbokwe, a public figure, has urged the federal government to defend Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), from accused land grabbers.
Igbokwe stated that land grabbers are a “potentially dangerous and formidable cartel” in a Facebook post on Friday.
He emphasized that the crime has been ongoing for many years and said that the land grabbers had taken Abuja farms.
He wrote, “Abuja land grabbers are professional thieves. They are vicious, potentially dangerous, a formidable cartel. It has been going on for years.
“The business is big and the professional land grabbers are big also. FCT lands are their own. FG protect Wike!”
Igbokwe’s statement comes in the context of the recent altercation between Wike and a navy commander who prevented the Minister from accessing a section of the territory.
The FCT Minister and the soldier were shown having a heated argument in a widely shared video that went viral a few days ago. The video later caused reactions all throughout the nation.
