After images of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), wearing trousers appeared online, social media users reacted on their official X account.

On Sunday, the WTO Director General posted the images to her official X account.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was seen without her customary head scarf, based on the pictures that went viral online. She was photographed beside former Dutch Prime Minister and NATO Secretary General H.E. Mark Rutte.

After publishing the images, she said she met Mark Rutte at an airport in Brussels.

According to Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her official X account: “At the airport lounge in Brussels on my way to Cameroon to follow up on preparations for our 14th Ministerial Meeting which will hold in Yaoundé, March 2026”.
