Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun revealed on Monday the reasons for President Bola Tinubu’s choice of Kashim Shettima for vice president.

Shettima’s resourcefulness, statesmanship, and “penchant for paradigm change,” according to Abiodun, made him a good fit for the vice presidential seat.

As they celebrated Shettima’s 58th birthday, the governor called the vice president the epitome of what it means to be a real leader.

Shettima was a dependable patriot and a brilliant mind, according to a signed statement from Abiodun.

He said: “On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Ogun State, I heartily congratulate our cerebral Vice president, Senator Kashim Shettima, on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

“Today, we celebrate not only the anniversary of your birth but also the remarkable journey you have undertaken in service to our great nation. Your unwavering commitment to nation-building and your relentless pursuit of progress have left an indelible mark on the fabric of our society.

“Throughout your distinguished career, you have exemplified the qualities of a true leader.”
