Donald Ojogo, the House of Representatives member for Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in Ondo State, has praised the Supreme Court’s ruling that upheld the election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, calling the decision a victory for democracy and the people of Ondo State.

Ojogo described the ruling as a confirmation of the mandate given to the governor by the people and noted that it would significantly contribute to the continued progress and development of the state.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court reaffirmed Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress as the legitimate governor after rejecting Agboola Ajayi’s appeal, citing it was filed too late and that Ajayi lacked the right to file the case.

In a statement, Ojogo called on the people of Ondo State to support the governor so that the administration can focus on key development issues.

He said: “This landmark judgment reaffirms the credibility of the November 16 election, where the duo emerged victorious across all 18 local governments of Ondo State.

“The people’s mandate has been upheld, and this victory marks the end of all legal distractions. In no small measure, this has paved the way for continued progress and development in our great state.

“As we celebrate this triumph, I commend Governor Aiyedatiwa and Deputy Governor Adelami for their strong belief in the judicial process that has brought hope and continued commitment to the welfare and prosperity of the people of Ondo State.

“I urge the good people of Ondo State to remain united and focused on this fresh path of progress. Let us continue to support our leaders as they strive to build a brighter future for our state.”
