Residents capture, kill bandits’ informer in Katsina

Residents of Karfi, a community in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, were furious and killed a man they believed to be a bandit informant.

Security expert Bakatsine disclosed the incident, which occurred on Tuesday night, in a post on X on Wednesday morning.

Bakatsine claims that the suspect admitted to assisting bandits in organizing and carrying out attacks on Layin Minister, Karfi, and Tashar-Fulani.

He also acknowledged using a motorcycle to abduct a woman named Hajiyar Buroni.

Charms and an incense pot were discovered in his possession by the locals when he was apprehended.

“Yesterday evening, residents caught and killed bandits informer in Karfi, Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State. He confessed to coordinating attacks on Karfi, Tashar-Fulani, Layin Minister.”

”He also admitted to kidnapping a woman known as Hajiyar Buroni, whom he transported on a motorcycle. He was found with charms and an incense pot,” Bakatsine wrote.

Only a few hours have passed when bandits overran Yar Santa in Katsina State’s Safana Local Government Area.

A number of people were kidnapped during the night attack, primarily women and children.
