The Rivers State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Martins Amaewhule, is set to hold its first plenary session since the end of the emergency situation on Thursday.
Sources revealed that the legislators will reconvene at the Conference Hall situated within the legislative quarters in Port Harcourt.
This venue has served as their temporary meeting point following the destruction of their main chamber at the Assembly complex on Moscow Road, which was set ablaze by unidentified attackers.
Their return follows the termination of the emergency measures that had been instituted by President Bola Tinubu on March 18.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, President Tinubu announced the end of the suspension and directed Governor Siminalayi Fubara along with the lawmakers to return to their official duties.
