Chief Ebikabowei Victor-Ben, popularly known as General Boyloaf, was once a militant leader. He has urged Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara to avoid sycophants and work towards reconciliation with Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.

Boyloaf asserts that Fubura should continue the path of peace and make amends with his predecessor for peace and the advancement of the state, notwithstanding the apparent support given to him by some people both inside and outside of Rivers State.

Boyloaf voiced concern in a statement on Tuesday on the Rivers crisis’s protracted resolution.

“Those fanning the ember of crisis are doing so because of personal enrichment,” he says, warning that they will be nowhere near Fubara if something was to happen to his mandate as governor of Rivers State.

He added, “It is too early for this to be happening in Rivers State. One way or another, they should find peace.

“By now, Gov. Fubura should be ensuring that peace reigns in Rivers State. God forbid something happens to his mandate; the same sycophants will be the first to abuse him.

“He should engage other peace-loving leaders to intervene and ensure reconciliation is achieved as soon as possible.”
