Rivers LG polls: Ex-Speaker urges voters to keep faith with APC

In the next local government elections, voters in the Andoni Local Government Area have been urged to support the All Progressives Congress, APC, by former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani.

The former Speaker proposed that under the APC’s leadership, the state, and especially the council, would have greater capacity to weather the nation’s economic crisis.

Ahead of the August 30 elections, Ibani made the plea while introducing Prince Lucky Promise Otuo, the APC’s candidate for chairperson, to the residents of Ward 7 in Egbormung Town.

In keeping with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision, he conveyed his confidence that the APC candidate will empower locals and provide efficient grassroots governance.

The former Speaker described Otuo as a disciplined politician and people-oriented leader, saying that party stakeholders carefully considered his nomination.

Otuo promised during his speech to lead an inclusive government with the goal of easing Andoni’s suffering via social and economic change.
