Authorities have identified Etti Cohen Engel, a resident of Ramat Gan, as the second person confirmed dead in the latest series of missile attacks launched by Iran against Israel.

Engel lost her life when a ballistic missile hit a residential neighborhood in Ramat Gan, close to Tel Aviv, late Friday evening. Aerial imagery from the site reveals extensive destruction to nearby structures resulting from the explosion.

Earlier reports had named 73-year-old Yisrael Aloni as one of the victims, killed in a separate incident in the city of Rishon Lezion.

Another individual also lost their life in the same strike, though officials have yet to release their name to the public.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that Iran launched close to 200 ballistic missiles overnight.

While air defense systems intercepted the majority of these missiles, approximately 25%—fewer than 50—evaded interception.

Most of those that weren’t blocked were allowed to land in uninhabited areas to prevent harm to people and infrastructure.

Nevertheless, a few missiles penetrated the defense network and struck populated areas in central Israel, including parts of Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Rishon Lezion.

Authorities have confirmed that at least 70 individuals were injured during the attacks.
