The inaugural meeting of the Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilization Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) took place on Wednesday night in Abuja.

The committee’s chairman and Yobe State Governor, Mala Buni, hosted the meeting at the Yobe State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

The attendees included Governors Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Uba Sani (Kaduna), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti).

Also in attendance were the following individuals: Bello Matawalle, Minister of State for Defence; Adegboyega Oyetola, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy; Yahaya Bello, former Kogi State Governor; Senator Kabiru Marafa; Muiz Banire, former APC National Legal Adviser; and Ibrahim Masari, Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Political Affairs.

The meeting was attended by committee members, but governors Bassey Otu (Cross River), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), and Umar Namadi (Jigawa) were not present.

The committee, which was established by President Bola Tinubu on December 24 (a Wednesday), has been tasked with dealing with internal disputes in the APC and bolstering the party’s nationwide mobilization efforts.
