Shehu Sani, the former senator from the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has clarified why Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the suspended senator from Kogi Central, was a lone wolf in her conflict with the 10th Senate leadership.
According to ZINGTIE, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan had a confrontation with Senate President Godswill Akpabio about the Red Chamber’s seating arrangement and accused him of sexual harassment.
She then received a six-month Senate suspension for breaking Senate rules and engaging in other wrongdoing.
On his verified Facebook page, lawmaker Shehu Sani responded, stating that no lawmaker in the Red Chamber expressed sympathy for Natasha.
He wrote: “When I publicly disclosed the salaries and allowances of the senators, it nearly earned me a six-month suspension if not for divine intervention. Just know that if you are there and you blow the whistle too loudly, you will be ‘on your own’—no senator will risk his head and neck to support you.”
