Shehu Sani expose how airlines are trying to edge out Air Peace from foreign routes

According to former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani, foreign airlines are attempting to displace Air Peace on international routes.

According to Sani, foreign airlines will keep crashing their fares until they push Air Peace off international routes.

Sani urged Nigerians to fly with domestic carriers in a post on X to keep their foreign counterparts in check.

He wrote: “The reason why foreign airlines are crashing their prices is simply because of Air Peace.

“They will continue to lower their fares until they edge out Air Peace from those foreign routes, and then they will return to their tyranny of prices. The more you patronise our local Airlines, the more you will put them in check.”

Gatwick Airport is the final destination of Air Peace’s flights from Nigeria to London, which started in March.

Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, has previously warned that foreign airlines flying the Nigeria-UK route were reportedly plotting to force his airline out of business by driving down costs.

Onyema alleged that foreign airlines have an “unspoken alliance” to use cheaper prices to drive Air Peace off the Nigeria-London route.
