Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Mohbad, has denied his daughter-in-law Wunmi’s claims that he intervened to prevent the arrest of the nurse involved in his son’s death.

It was previously reported that Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, during an interview with Chude Jideonwo on February 19, 2025, accused her father-in-law of stopping authorities from arresting the nurse who allegedly administered the injection that led to Mohbad’s death.

In a response to Wunmi’s allegations, Aloba addressed the issue during a TikTok live session on Tuesday. He stated, “I have never set my eyes on the nurse. We haven’t met in person. If I had seen her, it would have been online.”

He added, “I never had any conversation with the nurse at all. I have never mentioned the nurse since I started narrating what happened to Mohbad that night. I didn’t see any nurse present there, and nobody introduced the nurse to me.”

Aloba’s statement came shortly after a Lagos State Magistrate court cleared Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and PrimeBoy of any involvement in Mohbad’s death, while the nurse is set to face trial.
