A photo of Timothy Daniel, a 13-year-old child who was allegedly shot dead by a military in Akwa Ibom state, has been circulated online.

LIB previously reported that late Timothy was shot dead after allegedly confronting the soldier over making sexual approaches on his 15-year-old sister, Miracle Daniel.

According to accounts, late Daniel and his sister were returning home from church about 12.05 a.m. on January 1 when they encountered military soldiers who made passes at the youngster and even touched her improperly.

Residents in the community say the youngster and the deceased began cursing the cop for his inappropriate conduct, this reportedly enraged the officer, who quickly corked his revolver and allegedly shot the deceased on the head, leaving him dead in the pool of his blood.

The Army Public Relations Officer, 2 Brigade, Mbiokporo, who confirmed the occurrence, stated that the military police are handling the issue, which is already under investigation.
