The Southeast African Democratic Congress, ‎ADC has initiated a team called the South East Mobilization Network (SEMN), tasked with enhancing grassroots mobilization to ensure the party’s electoral success in 2027.

The group was launched in Enugu with the emergence of its National Executive Council members.

After the unveiling ceremony, Bryan Diamond Agu, the group’s Director General, spoke to the gathering and stated that the body was established to create strategic pathways for strengthening ADC throughout the Southeast geopolitical zone in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

He praised ADC members and stakeholders for what he called their shared dedication to successfully launching the group, especially commending Imo State Party Chairman James Okoroma for his perceptive discussion of political mobilization and party development.

Agu added that the NEC, as SEMN’s highest decision-making body, must ensure that the same level of commitment shown during the unveiling ceremony is reflected in the Council’s task of mobilizing the Southeast Electorate for the party.

”The task of mobilizing the Southeast Electorate has already begun and it requires disciplined execution of agreed programmes and strategies.”

”We must align fully with the directives of the national leadership of the Party to ensure synergy and measurable electoral outcomes.” he said.

The DG also highlighted that the current ADC National E-Membership Registration initiative seeks to bolster the party structure, refine membership management, and improve strategic planning from polling units to State levels.

He urged SEMN coordinators and members to actively engage citizens in the registration process, especially in anticipation of the upcoming ADC congresses set for April 7, 2026.

Agu stated that the body would make sure to motivate voters to acquire a Permanent Voter’s Card, which is necessary for taking part in any democratic activity.

”Members were therefore charged to intensify grassroots sensitization and assist eligible citizens in obtaining their PVCs, knowing that political participation without voting capacity undermines democratic engagement.”

“Also reaffirming the principle that politics is fundamentally local, SEMN, has directed its State Coordinators to submit timelines and programmes for State-by-State inauguration of its Executive structures, this is to consolidate SEMN presence at LGA,Ward and polling units levels where electoral outcomes are ultimately determined” Agu maintained.

While acknowledging the efforts of party leaders who were present at the event, particularly Nnamdi Anedo, Chairman of the Planning Committee, and Lady Monica Ebere Ozoude, Apex Leader of SEMN, the Director General stated that their altruistic contributions ensured a successful unveiling.

He also expressed SEMN’s confidence in the ADC national leadership to create what it called a credible alternative capable of winning power in 202 7.

He therefore called on the members to enhance their interaction with voters in the zone and advocate for the party’s vision of accountable governance and national renewal.

‎“This is the time for action. We must roll up our sleeves and go to work. The ADC represents hope for Nigerians, and SEMN must stand at the forefront of this historic movement toward national transformation.” he further said.
