Get lost, singer Speed Darlington has urged those who are tired of supporting him.
The musician made this statement just hours after splitting with Stanley Alieke, his attorney.
According to report, Alieke recently announced on his Instagram story that his company, Law Capitol, had split from the contentious singer.
The split occurred one week after the musician was freed from extended police custody in Nigeria for reportedly cyberstalking Burna Boy, a colleague.
The musician responded in a widely circulated video on his Instagram page, telling people who were telling him to give up on his battle with Burna to go away if they were sick of cheering him on.
“I’m on my way to the studio for more music. My life is my content. Let nobody tell me what to post. If you are tired of supporting, you get lost. And let my God guide me.
“Support, support, how many of you spend money? I spend my own money, so shut up. Let me do what I want and keep your advice to yourself. I have been there and done that; the fear is not the same.”
Shading Burna, he captioned the video, “Always singing about police brutality in Nigeria. Yet he proceeds to hire police to hold me longer. And this is only what you can say? Leave him and move on”
The musician was detained twice in October and November 2024 for making fun of Burna Boy’s relationship with the troubled American rapper Diddy, according to the DAILY POST. He blamed Burna’s 2021 Grammy win on her purported liaison with Diddy.
The diss tune “Baby Oil,” which Darlington published in October 2024 and was directed against Burna Boy and Diddy, became well-known on Spotify Nigeria.
Darlington has discreetly included his song “Baby Oil” into all of his content after his second release following a two-month stay in Kuje jail.
After being released from custody, Darlington spoke to his fans, saying he “went to gather energy and launch back with a banger!”
