STAMPEDE: MURIC finally reacts to Queen Naomi’s ordeal

No sane person would believe that Queen Naomi, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, plotted a massacre on purpose, according to a report released by PM News on Tuesday by the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC).

Following Queen Naomi’s arrest for the stampede that claimed numerous lives in Oyo state, the Islamic organisation released the statement.

The Nigeria Police Force reportedly only detained the event planners in Oyo state, leaving out those who planned similar events in Anambra state and the Federal Capital Territory, or FCT, Abuja, according to MURIC’s reaction to her detention.

According to MURIC,Queen Naomi and other individuals detained in relation to the stampede in Oyo state should be released immediately and unconditionally.

According to PM News, MURIC said; “MURIC is interested in knowing why it was only the organisers of the Ibadan event that were arrested while those in Abuja and Okija were allegedly left free. We therefore demand the immediate and unconditional release of the organisers of the Ibadan event.

“Queen Naomi Silekunola in particular is well known for her philanthropic activities and nobody in his or her right mind will assume that she deliberately planned a massacre.
