The Adamawa State Government has confirmed that the X (formerly Twitter) account belonging to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has been compromised by hackers.

This was made known by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Humwashi Wonosikou, who urged the public to ignore any content shared from the breached account.

“Unfortunately, the account has been compromised by hackers, and any content posted from it does not represent the views or statements of the Governor or his representatives,” Wonosikou said in a public notice which he issued.

“We are working diligently to recover the account and restore its integrity. The Governor regrets any embarrassment or inconvenience caused by the actions of the hackers,” Wonosikou stated.

Wonosikou also emphasized that any official communication from Governor Fintiri will be shared exclusively through recognized and trusted platforms.
