While returning from their confraternity’s annual conference, two suspected cultists were taken into custody by Lagos State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) officers.
Around 4:00 a.m. on Monday, the suspects—21-year-old Okey Bright, also known as “B in Fine Boy,” and 22-year-old Daniel Prince, also known as “Rugged Promotion”—were taken into custody.
They were apparently returning from the conference, which was hosted at an unknown hotel in the Lekki region of Lagos.
Preliminary inquiries showed that Bright, an Ikoyi resident and university student, joined the fraternity in 2024, according to a statement issued by RRS on Thursday.
Prince attends a university and works as a hairstylist.
“Their arrest was prompted by the suspicious movement of one of the suspects, Daniel Prince, who was carrying a cross bag.
“In Prince’s bag, the operatives discovered caps associated with the confraternity, leading to the immediate arrest of both suspects.
“The arrest reinforces the ongoing efforts of the State Command to curb cult-related activities and maintain law and order in the State,” the statement read.
For additional investigation, the suspects have been moved to the Special Squad of the Commissioner of Police.
