Teams Super Eagles to face in AFCON 2025 qualifiers unveiled

The Nigerian Super Eagles have been assigned to Group D of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament.

Rwanda, Libya, and the Benin Republic make up the group.

In a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier last month, Benin Republic, coached by former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr, upset Nigeria 2-1.

The Bees of Rwanda belong to the same group.

On Thursday afternoon, the draw ceremony was held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

September 2025 is when the qualifiers will begin, and they will last until November 2025.

The competition is scheduled for December 21, 2026, through January 18, 2026.
