As Nigeria’s security issues intensify, particularly the ongoing terrorist strikes in the North, France has shown support for the country.

While revealing that he had a conversation with President Bola Tinubu, French President Emmanuel Macron promised to strengthen collaboration with Nigerian authorities and provide more assistance to communities affected by violence.

Macron revealed this on Sunday in a post on X, emphasizing the need for international partners to increase their involvement as well.

No one could continue to be a bystander, he said.

He emphasized how urgently we must work together to address the situation.

“I spoke with President Tinubu of Nigeria, President Tinubu. I conveyed France’s solidarity in the face of the various security challenges, particularly the terrorist threat in the North.

“At his request, we will strengthen our partnership with the authorities and our support for the affected populations. We call on all our partners to step up their engagement. No one can remain a spectator,” Macron said.
