The only African and European country without a single mosque despite having Muslims

Those who identify as Muslims are followers of the monotheistic religion of the Abrahamic heritage. They believe that the Quran, the foundational religious text of Islam, is the exact word of Allah, the God of Abraham, as revealed to Muhammad, the principal Islamic prophet.

Muslims believe in earlier revelations, including the Tawrat (the Torah; from Hebrew), the Zabur (Psalms), and the Injeel (Gospel), in addition to the Quran.

91% of people in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), 89% in Central Asia, 40% in Southeast Asia, 31% in South Asia, 30% in Sub-Saharan Africa, 25% in Asia, 1.4% in Oceania, 6% in Europe, and 1% in the Americas identify as Muslims.

Due to commerce, Slovakia’s region was included in the Bronze Age (1900–700 BC) and established European civilization. The production of bronze tools, jewellery, and weaponry was made possible by the abundant copper ore resources in the central Slovak region. During this time, significant power and commercial hubs were created.

There are just 5,000 Muslims in Slovakia, yet the statute grants state privileges to religious groups with at least 50,000 members. Slovakia is the only EU member state without a mosque as a result.

A religion that lacks that legal standing is considered unlawful by the state, which makes it ineligible for tax subsidies from the government and prohibits public houses of worship. However, the new law increased the requirement from 25,000 to 50,000 signatures.

Slovakia’s anti-Islam law is a response to an imaginary problem since Muslims make up barely 0.4 per cent of the country’s population. Still, the bill’s sponsors, lawmakers, haven’t tried to hide their intentions. They have even gone so far as to declare in public that they want to ban all facets of Muslim life in the nation permanently.

Sao Tome & Principe is the only country in the African continent without a mosque. Devout Christians who constantly identify as Roman Catholics make up the majority of people. That being said, Muslims make up a much smaller portion of the population than Christians do. This explains why there aren’t any mosques in the area.
