VIDEO: Young lady rubs charcoal on her face during NYSC registration process, explains why

One Nigerian woman talked about her experience registering for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The fair-skinned woman described how, in order to finish the process, she went to the cybercafé for thumbprinting and capture.

In a TikTok video, @kiahcakes described how she and another fair-skinned woman were instructed to apply charcoal to their faces.

She said that because it was so difficult to capture light-skinned individuals, they had to do this.

They had to figure out a way to darken their skin after their attempt to catch them failed.

The lady mentioned that the owner of the computer café suggested that they hire a cosmetic artist to apply a darker foundation, but it was too early to do so.

Ultimately, the capturing was effective since she and another woman she met there had to use the charcoal.

She said: “When they said NYSC will humble you, this is one of the perfect examples.”
