A victim of police extortion, Isaac Kelechi, has disclosed some unsettling details about the event.

Reports state that Kelechi and his friends were extorted by police personnel in Bayelsa State when they were stopped at a checkpoint en route to Imo State.

However, the victim described how the cops pummeled him for not giving over his phone in a video that TVC News posted.

Eventually, he relinquished his mobile device and gave in to the beatings. As a result, the officers were able to access his bank account and found ₦10 million.

Isaac Kelechi continued by saying that the cops threatened to kill him and his companions if he didn’t pay the ₦6 million they demanded after learning of the substantial sum.

As he stated in the video: “They were beating me in the car, saying I must give them six million out of the ten million; if not, they will kill us.”
