They pretend to be happy Davido, Chioma are getting married – Fr Kelvin blows hot

Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, a Catholic missionary priest serving in the Gambia, has stated that bigots based on ethnicity are merely posing as individuals who are pleased with Davido and Chioma’s marriage.

When it comes time for elections, according to Ugwu, people will only recall that Chioma is Igbo, not Yoruba, like her husband.

Ethnic bigots who would view Chioma’s children as not “full” Yorubas may prevent them from running in the Osun state elections, the preacher claims.

In a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday, Ugwu said that after the results of the most recent elections, ethnic bigots had taken the country back to square one.

He said: “The ethnic bigots are looking and pretending to be among those who are happy that Davido and Chioma are getting married until it is time for elections. Then, they will remember that Chioma is Igbo and not Yoruba like her husband, meaning that her children cannot contest in Osun state elections because according to their bigotry reasoning, the children are not “full” Yorubas.

“This was how they brought us to square one in the last elections, and see where we are today. If not that I am making a conscious effort to remain a good Christian, I would have joined Johnny Drille in his Palava song to say: “If you be bad belle, your father”, but I will leave you to God, your conscious and the price of bread in your area. Mtchwww!!!”

Davido announced a few days ago, according to ZINGTIE, that he and Chioma would wed on June 25 in Lagos.
