Divine Ikubor, also known online as Rema, is a Nigerian musician who has shared the most absurd internet story about herself.

The “Calm Down” hitmaker claimed that the wildest myth that has ever been spread about him was that he was “a devil worshipper.”

A recent episode of the podcast “Kids Take Over” had Rema.

The host asked: “What’s the most crazy, untrue thing that you’ve seen online about you?”

Rema replied: “They say worship the devil [laughs]. It’s crazy. I didn’t respond to it because it is not important. It’s a waste of time.”

The singer clarified that the symbols he used to convey his art were not demonic but rather derived from Edo culture.

Rema also mentioned collaborating with Drake, the Canadian superstar, on his song “Mention Me” in 2020 which got leaked.

“I’m happy to work with a legend like Drake. I feel like we are going to make a very huge song if we take our time to build something very strong,” he said.
