According to the Kano State Police Command, a stolen car has been found and given back to its owner, Dr. Yusuf Samuel Shaho of Zaria City, Kaduna State.
On December 28, 2024, the Anti-Car Theft Unit, SCID, retrieved the ash-colored car.
According to reports, the car was abandoned, but the Anti-Car Theft Unit recovered it in a timely manner.
Following initial inquiries, the main suspect in the theft, 40-year-old Bala Sani of Katsina State’s Funtua Local Government Area, was taken into custody.
Dr. Yusuf, the vehicle’s owner, was legally given back his vehicle at the Police Public Relations Office in Kano after providing confirmation of ownership.
CP Salman Dogo Garba, the Commissioner of Police, gave the order for the surrender.
CP Garba was grateful for the owner’s cooperation as well as the police officers’ efforts that resulted in the recovery.
He reaffirmed the command’s dedication to safeguarding Kano State residents’ lives and property and asked the public to contribute any helpful information that would aid in the recovery of stolen goods and the capture of offenders.
The police keep stressing how crucial community cooperation is to maintaining safety and successfully battling crime.
