In the fourth quarter of 2023, the states with the largest foreign investments were Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory, and Rivers.
The National Bureau of Statistics revealed this in their most recent report on Nigeria’s Capital Importation for Q4 of 2023.
Lagos State got the biggest foreign investment, $771.68 million, accounting for 65.38 percent of total capital importation, even though overall foreign investment increased by 66.77 percent month over month to $1,060.73.
Abuja (FCT) comes in second with $370.80 million, or 34.07 percent, and Rivers State comes in third with US$6.00 million, or 0.55%.
