The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology in Zaria, Kaduna State, has purportedly been given permission by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to split into six campuses.
In 1964, NCAT was founded as Nigeria’s premier aviation training institution. The college has only maintained an extension in Lagos, the nation’s commercial center and aviation hub.
However, in the 2025 budget, Tinubu just unveiled, the federal government intends to invest N3.6 billion to create NCAT annexes in five geopolitical zones: Yola (North East), Ilorin (North Central), Ebonyi (South-East), Osubi (South-South), and Akure (South-West).
In order to guarantee effectiveness, nationwide coverage, and seamless operations, President Bola Tinubu has chosen to divide the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria–Kaduna State, into six campuses. Some campuses will be developed in Ilorin (North Central), Yola (Northeast), and Zaria (Northwest), while others will be situated in Akure (Southwest), Osubi (South-South), and Ebonyi (Southeast).
