President Bola Tinubu has extended his warm wishes to Afrobeats icon, Mr. Innocent Idibia, widely recognized as 2Baba, in celebration of his 50th birthday.
The message was shared in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on Friday in Abuja.
Tinubu praised 2Baba for his lasting influence on Nigeria’s music industry, describing his contribution as exceptional.
He further highlighted the artist’s originality, determination, and the resilient spirit that embodies the essence of being Nigerian.
The President noted that for over two decades, 2Baba has graced both national and international audiences with heartfelt music, inspired many, and proudly represented Nigeria across the globe.
“His legendary song, ‘African Queen’, remains an evergreen classic that introduced the beauty of African music to the world, placing Nigeria at the heart of the global entertainment map,” Tinubu stated.
