Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, 41, was discovered dead in the auditorium of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Prayer City, which is situated on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, in what is believed to be a suicide.

According to a report by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the event happened on Friday morning and was reported to Esiere Ekikere, the church’s chief security officer.

About 7:20 a.m., Ekikere reported that he received a distress call from the church auditorium informing him that a woman who had not been named was lying on the floor, unmoving.

When he arrived on the scene, he discovered the woman unconscious and an empty bottle of what appeared to be a lethal chemical called “Sniper” lying next to her.

Officers came to the scene. After the incident was photographed for documentation, the body was brought to the morgue at Real Divine Hospital for an autopsy.

The facts surrounding the occurrence are being investigated, and others who knew the deceased are being contacted to provide additional details.
