For reportedly burying his ailing two-year-old son alive in a room within his church, a well-known pastor in Accra, Ghana, has been placed under arrest.
The founder and general supervisor of God Host Favour Chapel is a man known as Rev. Israel Eshun. He also manages the Yesu Agyemie Herbal Centre, according to reports.
The incident occurred after the pastor was informed by the physicians at Korle Bu Hospital that his son had very little chance of recovery, according to reports from Angel FM. Remarkably, Rev. Eshun reportedly buried the boy inside the church structure rather than telling his wife or other family members.
When his wife, Mrs. Christian Marcathy Eshun, also known as Maame Ama, began inquiring about their son’s location, the tragic reality became evident.
After asking a number of questions, she learned that the child had passed away and, worse, that he had been buried in secret in the church without her knowledge or approval.
Although it is still unclear why Rev. Eshun decided to bury the youngster in secret, his decision has raised severe concerns about his behavior and produced uncertainty and ire in the community.
The preacher has subsequently been taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service, and inquiries are still being conducted to learn all the specifics of what transpired.
