Nigerian striker Victor Boniface is undergoing an unusually thorough medical assessment by AC Milan as part of his transfer process to the Serie A club.
The Italian side has reportedly secured a loan deal with Bayer Leverkusen for the forward, valued at €5 million, with a purchase option set at €25 million.
Boniface arrived in Italy on Friday and proceeded to visit Milan’s training facilities, the Italian Olympic Committee, and the Galeazzi Hospital for initial medical checks.
According to Football Italia, additional tests are scheduled for Saturday.
The 24-year-old has a medical history marked by multiple injuries. He underwent surgery for a ligament issue in March 2019 and again in December 2020. Last season, he also dealt with two separate muscle-related setbacks.
