Christian McFarlane, a player for Major League Soccer’s New York City FC, has agreed to join Manchester City, according to football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
On Monday, Romano revealed this in a tweet sent from his X account.
He claims that in order to join the Premier League winners, the 17-year-old left-back turned down offers from Brighton and other German teams.
“Understand Man City are closing in on deal to sign Christian McFarlane from NYCFC, agreement now done.
“McFarlane has rejected bids from Brighton and German clubs for Man City.
“Another huge signing for Man City Academy, first Cavan Suvillian and now Christian McFarlane.”
